This week, please turn your hearts toward the CRANE Family. David, Marcy, Sarah Grace, Samuel, Sean and Sophia are working diligently to return to Japan as soon as the Lord allows. They have sent us the follow areas in which to pray:
MONDAY: PRAISE - The short term trip to Japan was amazing! We as a team traveled well, grew in our faith and understanding of the Church in Japan, was stretched way beyond our comfort zones and watched as God showed up and helped us make relationships, encourage the believers and bring people from many corners of Nagoya to Sakae Church. Marcy and the kids did great as dad was away overseas. Praise God for our small group and other friends who helped them with meals, encouragement and some babysitting.
TUESDAY: Please pray for the next phase of our transition back to Japan. We are continuing our preparations for departure but our support in not yet in place. Please pray that God would connect us to those people and churches who would join us in ministry. We are about 70% funded but the last 30% is still a big part of our overall support and it has not been identified. Please pray for this critical part of our return to serve among the Japanese. If you have contacts at churches outside Grace Fellowship who might be interested in our ministry please let us know—we would love to share our vision with others.
WEDNESDAY: Please pray for language school placement in Nagoya. David was able to apply for language school enrollment starting on April 1, 2010. The application is the first step but acceptance is not guaranteed. Please pray for this component of our transition back to Japan to go smoothly.
THURSDAY: Please pray for Sarah Grace and Sam as they start school this year. They just entered Cline Elementary in preparation for the transition to attend Japanese public school upon our return. This is a big transition for our whole family and we are praying that we would all turn to the Lord as we face new challenges.
FRIDAY: Please pray for the birth of an entire missionary team from Grace Fellowship to be working on the field in Japan. During our last trip, we experienced how working humbly together as members of a team was simply awesome. Pray that God may open hearts to joining us not only as partners and supporters but as co-laborers on the field.
Pray Luke 10:2 for God’s work in Japan. “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
SATURDAY: Please pray for us as we begin some language learning this fall. Marcy is going to start meeting with a Japanese friend and start refreshing and learning language. David is already meeting with an NKU student tutor in Japanese. Pray that God would give us time and drive to acquire these new skills in language.
SUNDAY: Please pray for our own walk with God: that the demands of returning to Japan would not damage our relationship with God, but that this ministry would flow out of our own relationship with Him. That we would balance all of the expectations and pressures on us in the way the Lord would direct… that we would always remember that the ministry belongs to God and not us.
